About the Artist

Edalia is a story teller. She writes with her paint brush in hopes that the impression captures the viewer and connects them with the rich and vibrant Latino culture that captures the heart. Together, you, the viewer and Edalia complete the painting. Her loose brush strokes of oil on canvas and your memories and imagination fill in the details to tell a journey of the heart and exploration of art and culture.
In 2019, after a varied professional career that afforded Edalia the opportunity to spend more time raising two amazing boys Edalia retired from a long stretch as an environmental planner in the public energy sector to dedicate the rest of her life to art. Experiences as a city planner, florist and educator afforded Edalia the chance to be creative, contribute to the preservation and minimization of environmental impacts, and to teach our future leaders. Edalia invites you to join her on a journey of growth and exploration! Your feed back will give her the courage to tell untold stories that have been overlooked and stories she has buried deep in her soul.
After more than 30 years Edalia continue to reside in the South Bay of San Diego County with her loving family and trusty companion Monty.
